Mighty Samson

Sam – CH Rush Hill’s Mimbes Gold CD RE NAP OJP

Sampson (Sam) was born November 6, 1999 at Rush Hill Golden Retriever’s in Washington. He arrived at our home in New Mexico just after the New Year in 2000. Our home was a very busy one with five children ranging in age from 22 to 8. The older one’s would come home from college on weekends and holidays, and the younger one’s had many after school activities. Sam accompanied us to most of them. He especially loved soccer practice.

A Loving Owner

Gail (Mom) became interested in showing Sam and was able to work in conjunction with a couple of handlers to finish his championship.

Gail competed with Sam in Obedience, Rally Obedience, and Agility and earned titles in each.

Sam’s Legacy

Sam was also a certified Therapy Dog and he excelled at this. He was very popular at the hospital and care centers. He would perform tricks as entertainment, but most of all he was there for their comfort and allowed himself to be hugged and petted. He was very intuitive and seemed to know when to be cautious and when to move in closer.

The family all have cute Sam stories and we still talk about him and how much we miss him.
